Welcome to the 2009 Mourne International Walking Festival. The Mourne Mountains and surrounding area offers some of the best walking in Ireland set within stunning scenery.

ENTERTAINMENT
Ireland is famed for its hospitality. Catch up with old acquaintances and make new friends throughout the weekend. Each day as walkers return to the Festival Centre there will be traditional music and the chance to enjoy a pint or two.

Friday 26 June
Walk 1 20km road/track walk
Bus from Festival Centre to Glenaveagh Bridge, Bryansford Road, Goward Road, Old Dublin Road, Eight Mile Bridge, Sheephill, Leitrim Lodge, UlsterWay, Kilbroney Park, bus back to Festival Centre.
Walk 2 40km road/track walk
Bus from Festival Centre to Newcastle, Tipperary Lane, Tollymore Forest, Trassey Road, Fofanny Road, Bryansford Road, Kinahalla Road, Glenaveagh Bridge, Bryansford Road, Goward Road, Old Dublin Road, Eight Mile Bridge, Sheephill, Leitrim Lodge, UlsterWay,
Kilbroney Park, bus back to Festival Centre.
Saturday 27 June

Walk 2 20km road/track walk
Festival Centre, Donaghaguy Lake, Burren, Tamnaharry (UlsterWay), Clontifleece, Aghavilly, Ballydesland, Clonallon Glebe,Warrenpoint,

Walk 3 30km road/track walk
Bus from Festival Centre to Mayobridge, Tamary, Ballydulany, Edentrumly, Milltown, Tamnaharry, Burren, Clonallon,Warrenpoint.
Walk 4 20km mountain ramble (moderate)
Bus from Festival Centre to Leitrim Lodge, Rocky Mountain, Tornamrock, Pierces Castle, YellowWater River, Kilbroney Bog, Fairy Glen, Rostrevor, bus back to Festival Centre.
Walk 5 20km mountain hike (strenuous)
Bus from Festival Centre to Rocky River Bridge, Hen Mountain, Cock Mountain, Pigeon Rock, Slieve Moughanmore, Eagle Mountain, Shanlieve, Tievedockdarragh, Leitrim Lodge, bus back
to Festival Centre.
