I am a Nikon and I belive I take a better quality of photo.
Now I also know this could cause a argument but lets keep it calm.
any oneelse a Nikon?

Nikon but I have no real experience of Canon. Can see this thread getting heated once the Canon types refuse to admit they have inferior cameras ;)

Yeah I'm a fan of sharp images so I use a Nikon!
-
NIKON.
-
Yep....Nikon - which attaches onto my Skywatcher 200p telescope fitted to an E3-2 mount and also my Meade ETX70 with GOTO mounts.
I've also got a wee dinky digital camera (Premier) that I bought from maplins and takes absolutly fantastic pics.

I have the same scope. Haven't used it much though.

Nikon personally (although I don't rate their compacts at all).
Way back the F60 had just come on the scene in my price bracket and was causing a bit of a stir... plus Jim Brandenburg used Nikon: think those were my main motivators for trying the brand offerings and was instantly hooked. I owned the superlative D300 for a few years and still have my FM2n, FE2 and a few Nikkor lenses. Using them approaches transcendence. *love*
my Ricoh compact is rather delightful too.

I have two Nikon DSLR's and love everything about them. Can't really comment too much on Canon, because I've never owned one, but that's because at time of purchase the Nikon's always seemed to be far superior according to the reviews and research I carried out.

I started off on a F50, then went to the F70, which I still have. It was a great camera. Complicated to set up, but great results. I still have a FM2 as well. Just got the first DSLR at the end of last year with a D90, which takes all my old film SLR lenses. Very happy with it.

seems to be alot of nikons out there.
I went to Jessops yesterday and was looking at both the entry camera next to eack other. The Nikon does seem to be better to hold (personal prefrance).

Canon user :)
Started with a couple of Canon compacts (Powershot and Ixus), then bought a 350D and am now using a 50D. Personally I wouldn't change, as like most people I've got really used to the Canon user interface and I've put quite a bit of money into lenses, flashguns etc.
I dont think there is much between the two brands. At end of day you are best going for the one that fits your hands best, because technically they are neck and neck. One thing I miss on my 50D that the equivalent Nikon has is wireless flash control. Oh and I've always been a bit envious of the superior high ISO/low noise on the Nikon's. But as someone once told me - its not the gun, its the gunner :)

Nikon wins this one I think. ::)

I have always used Nikon and use 2 x D3 Bodies and all Nikon Lenses. I have just Recently bought a Canon 1D MK2 N to use as a remote camera for behind a net at football games.
To be honest, with a 28mm Prime Lens on the Canon, The quality is excellent.
I think its just what you are used to.
