TK Maxx / Sports Direct
« on: August 09, 2011 »

I noticed at the weekend that TK Maxx had a decent range of 8-10 hiking boots and shoes along with Craghoppers trousers. Also Sports Direct had lots of Karrimor stuff including down jackets @ £40. Both on the Boucher Road.

Bangor has Togg fleeces for 14.99 and Lowe Alpine for 19.99 in the men's section.
Bought myself a Togg fleece, would be definitely a mid layer as it is quite thick.

i popped into tk and sd and managed to resist temptation, although the 2-3 person bothy bag at £20 nearly made me open my wallet, but i was strong  ;D then popped over to cotswolds and bought a poo shovel  8)

Bought one myself.. Hopefully won't have the need to use it.
My friend made a poop tube, which is just a drain pipe with a lid on both ends. He puts plastic bags in it and  poops in the bags and sticks it in the tube. Quite a good idea. Although I wouldn't fancy carrying it about for a week.

Andy Kirkpatrick had some awesome climbing stories about poop tubes. Was very funny.
