Hello everyone. My name is Chris, I'm on the brink of 27, & only over the last few year have I become a keen cyclists & now a keen adventurer! I love the idea of cycle touring, & tested the waters with a one night trip from Lurgan to Newcastle, following the Mourne Coastal Route & camping in Rostrevor, ended with a hill climb to watch the sun go down as I sat beside 'The Big Stone'. I was by myself & it was my first time camping. I loved every second of it. Seen so many things I never noticed before. I just love travelling by bicycle :D
I'm planning more trips this year, with the next one being a trip to cycle up to the Dark Hedges, Mussenden Temple, Dunluce Castle & Giants Causeway. I'll spend two night at MaddyBenny. Slowly planning a trip around the boarder of the North & then from top to bottom of our Island.
As someone with very little experience in camping, I'm hoping to pick up some advice & any great scenery recommendations from the forums. Also if anyone knows any spots where you can get away with wild camping, please share :D
Sorry for the long post. Also if anyone on here is into cycling around Ireland, I'd be interested in a chat :D would be fun to travel the country with others.
