Great idea... Errigal has been on my list for awhile now so sounds like an ideal chance to finally check it out :)

So Errigal it is. How does the 20-21st sound to everyone?

I have done a search of campsites and found sleepyhollow as one. Anyone stayed there before?

Sleepy hollow is a really nice site, whorya and myself stayed there last year and are headin there again at the end of july. Its got two pubs just round the corner from it although its still a very quiet campsite, the larger has music and good food which is welcome after a long days walking. The site has clean showers too which is a bonus.

Were gowing back to do some of the glover walk and errigal again, as the first time we could see dang all from the top of it, it suffers from being covered in cloud alot apparently.

You beat me to it >:(

You forgot to mention that the showers play classical music which is quite relaxing.

As Rumblebum mentioned it is a policy of "all quiet after 11pm".  That said they do have a few fire pits so you could do the fire and bbq thing then head to the pub.  Just as long as you are quiet on the way back to the tent.  The owner Art is a sound fella and he lives on the grounds of the site so he is probably keen to make sure others (or himself) aren't disturbed.

One of pubs was established by the father of Enya and Moya Brennan (Clannad).  I think it will have music on most, if not all weekend nights.  The grub is good too.

Same thing happened with me when I climbed Errigal, it was that bad with mist and torrential rain that we couldn't make it over the ridge..
