Apologies for bumping an old thread but due to all the recent interest in urbex and urban exploring in Northern Ireland I have created a new forum specifically for people interested in exploring and photographing their finds.

The forum is available at the following link:

www.NIUrbEx.co.uk

I look forward to seeing some of you there.
Thanks.

There were two sections to belvoir park hospital
one was for the insane the other was for the fever hospital otherwise know as an isolation block
either way it would be one freaky place
not for the faint hearted

We're trying our best to keep the site as friendly as possible, while we do try to maintain a certain level of secrecy regarding sites (in an effort to keep them off the radar of vandals and thieves) we are always more than happy to take folks out who have a genuine interest in exploring.

Yesterday I personally took 2 urbex virgins out for their first explore (one of them is a regular NI-Wild member) and by all reports they really enjoyed themselves and are keen to take part in further explores.

If anyone else is interested in breaking their urbex cherry, we are going to be holding a second "NI Urbex official get together" in the coming month or two. The get together will include a permission explore to a couple of derelict buildings, a tour around an aircraft hanger and the chance to visit some WW2 relics such as bunkers and pill boxes. It's a great opportunity for anyone interested in exploring and/or photography to get started on the Urbex ladder or even for a seasoned explorer to get some nice shots in the relaxed and friendly atmosphere of a permission explore.

Further information and sign up details can be found on the NI Urbex forum @ www.NIUrbex.co.uk
