Hi Lynda, if you go onto meets places trips and reviews and put your name on one of the lists. There will be a day on 19th June and a day on 10 July. I'm offering these to Ni Wild members at no cost. There will also be an introduction to bushcraft on the 7th august this is bookable through Carnfunnock and costs £5. The website is down at present as I'm switching the  hosting site, sorry about that. You can catch up with our blog, www.bushcraftni.blogspot.com

Just wondering would it be benefical to go to the Introduction on the 7th if you attend one of the NI Wild events?

On the intro to bushcraft on the 7th august we will be covering more than I will be doing alone on the NI Wild events as the whole crew should be there many hands and all that!

No Craic!!  Just found out I have to be in Roscommon on the 9th of July so won't  be able to attend... Think I'll be aiming to get up on sunday though if cash flow is cool, how will I find the location so I can organise transport?

Carnfunnock is just outside larne heading north towards Glenarm on the coastal road. Clearly sign posted.

Correct me if I'm wrong though.

Where are you coming from?

Once in Larne follow the signs for the A2 Coast Road; Carnfunnock is about 3 miles out of the town along the Coast Road.

I'll be leaving from either Belfast or Derry not sure yet, I'm marshalling the iplod on Friday night so it all depends on how well the breakfast goes    I'm not driving though, I'm afraid I'll be either biking + busing.... I'll get onto translink. 

Anyone know what time are we kicking off?? Don't suppose there's a lie in  in it

No rest for the wicked Lynda! Starts at 10 SHARP!!!  If you want i can give you a lift if you ge to Larne station then give me a call. It looks like there are only 3 of you on sunday which is no probs. Where are you coming from??

Folks, kit list for sunday,
outdoor clothing dress for the weather. prepare for the rain hope it dosent come. Remember technical clothing and fire dont mix, last thing we need is someone to spark hole their £200 goretex coat!
Water bottle.
Knife if you have one if not i can lend you one.
Firesteel if you have one if not you can borrow mine.
I will have a group first aid kit but bring your own if you want.
Lunch, we will have an open fire so bring food to cook on it or just a packed lunch.
If you have any carving projects or bushcrafty gear you want to show off bring it along.
Camera for pictures if you want.
A sense of humour as always.
