Title: CANI Overnight Adventure on the Strangford Lough Canoe Trail (4 Jul 09)

This is your perfect chance to take on a small section of the Strangford Lough Canoe Trail.

This stunning sea lough offers no less than 80 square nautical miles of paddling playground. The trip includes an overnight stay in the Salt Island Bothy.

This event is being orgnaised by the Canoe Association of Northern Ireland (CANI) for paddlers of all abilities and will be led by a team of qualified CANI coaches.

So as long as you can paddle 6 miles at a comfortable pace then come along. There is nothing like spending a day with like minded people.

The trip will start on Saturday at 10am and finish by 4pm on Sunday.

Equipment
Sea kayaks or Open canoes can be booked by contacting CANI. Cost £5 per day
Paddles and buoyancy aids can be borrowed from CANI and can be arranged to be at the start point for you. Book through CANI
You should be prepared for all types of weather by bringing waterproof clothing, warm clothes, sun cream, lots of water
Be self sufficient i.e. bring the food you like to eat

Age Limit
There are no age limits for the trips, If you are able to paddle for 6 miles at a comfortable pace then come along
Under 18’s must be accompanied by a parent or guardian

Cost
The trip will be free for members and £10 for non CANI members
