About 5 hours from Holywood to the forest with lots of stops to take in the sights.

Cool, where exactly did you camp, and was it a problem finding a good spot?

I was camped close to Helen's Tower but there's lots of of decent areas to pitch up, wander off the trails and you'll usually find some-where to pitch a few tents out of sight.

Cheers mate.

Clandeboye's grief free. I aimed for no specific area, walked around and found about three nice places and pitched up at the last one.

It's a good scenic hike in from Holywood along the coast but the corridor of trees from Helen's Bay onward is wonderful to walk along.
