Right, I'm in.  With only one child in-tow.

Are you guys just taking your chance and turning up, no booking beforehand?

I'm probably going to set the tent up around mid morning then go for a walk around Rocky Mountain and Chimney Rock and anything else interesting around that way.  Then go pick up my son late afternoon and bring him down.

Any team kit needed?  Do they have any fire pits?  Can we do a fire wood collection nearby or is it a firelog effort?

Flipmeb has already called ahead to let them know we're coming. We'll maybe contact them again on Friday as it seems like a sizeable group. You can always call ahead yourself too just to be sure if you like, no harm in Frank knowing who we are ;)

There are fire circles you can use if you buy a bag of logs or a firelog from Frank. Think it was £4 for the first bag and £3 per bag after that. 2 bags did us the whole evening last time. Technically Frank insists that you buy fire stuff from him as it's a decent part of his income but I'd say as long as we buy a couple of bags from him, if someone had the odd log in the boot it would be fine. Wouldn't go advertising it though  ::)

If everyone just makes sure and tell Frank they're with NI-Wild he'll make sure we all pitch in the same spot and we'll all meet after everyone does whatever they have planned for the day. I think Flipmeb has a specific spot in mind and he's already requested it from Frank.

We could light the fire at the same time as the BBQs and have the BBQs at the edge. Usually we'd be cooking on the open fire so the BBQ question has never come up.

Just had a thought. We, the group Im going down with, had always planned a bit of baked potato on the fire action for dinner.

Now NI-Wild are going and BBQ's have been mentioned I remembered that we used the fire pit the last time for them then started the fire afterwards.

I think we as a whole either need to do the BBQ's differently or try to have 2 fire pits. I'm not trying to take over or tell ppl what to do, it sounds that way to me reading this. I'm simply preempting my grumpy man state when hungry and I know I wont want to wait till ppl are finished/ready to light the fire to get my spuds going.

I like the Potato in the fire idea...must remember to bring some as Baked Potatoes are an American tradition and would fit in nicely with our theme :) A quick power boil before chucking them into the fire quickens the cook time.

We're leaving Belfast at 2pm, should be there 3ish. (In NI-Wild time that means we're leaving at 220pm and should be there at 4ish after a McDonalds and some last minute shopping. It's the NI-Wild way, we're nothing if not consistent!)
