Hello everyone, I'm very pleased to be joining your ranks and look forward to getting to know you all. Firstly can I mention how impressed I have been with the wealth of knowledge and depth of sharing etc of the current contributors.
I am based in Belfast and although have always had a keen interest in outdoor activities I sadly haven't always had sufficient (me) time to satisfy my desires. (Something I am currently addressing).
I have 2 young boys aged nearly 6 and 7 and they also share my enthusiasm for outdoor excursions and fun. We have been accumulating all sorts of kit the past while in preparation for an increase in outdoor activities and for their first actual camping trip.
I had some fairly unorthodox but fun camping trips in my younger days and the flame is well and truly ignited in me again. It's great to become a part of such a great forum full of like minded enthusiasts and I am looking forward to participating.
Cheers... ;)

Welcome aboard mate good to see your getting the two wee lads out to explore the 'wilds' they will love it. My wee camping buddy is 11 a wee bit older than your two but always chompin at the bit to get out so when mum complains were off again I play him as my joker 'I'm only out cause he wants to go' works every time. :)

Welcome. Your kids are at the perfect age for a bit of outdoors fun, they'll have a ball rolling around the mountains and forests, will help them grow up and keep you young :)
