The Celtic legend of the Selkie refers to a creature that is part man, part seal who is equally at home on land or at sea. I have much in common with the Selkie and can offer a glimpse into their world if you care to join me. I have over 30 years experience working by and on the sea in outdoor and environmental education. Let me guide you along the beautiful Causeway Coast of Antrim in a way most suited to your ability, interest or skill.

Explore the environment with me by land, river or sea. I have an intimate knowledge of the area and can offer guided walks or water based adventures to help you experience some of the hidden treasures of the landscape and coastline that are waiting to be discovered. I can also offer water based skills courses, white water and surf kayaking sessions. Guided expeditions by sea kayak, open canoe and traditional boat are available depending on the skill level of participants and weather conditions.

I have an extensive fleet of craft with associated equipment and protective clothing that is available for my clients use. Equipment hire is available to suitably qualified or experienced people where instruction is not required.

I live on the north coast of Ireland in the harbour town of Portrush , Co. Antrim. Close by are the surf beaches of Portrush and the White Rocks with the Skerries a few miles off-shore. The Causeway coastline to the east is spectacular with sheer cliffs of white chalk and dark basalt, sea stacks, arches, caves and beaches of golden sand. Within easy reach are Dunluce Castle perched on the crumbling cliff edge, The Giant's Causeway, Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge and Rathlin Island . The Lower River Bann with its estuary provides shelter for water based activities all year round. To the west lies the beautiful Roe Valley , the historic walled City of Derry and the rugged landscape of Co.Donegal. To the east are White Park Bay , Fair Head, Murlough Bay , and the Glens of Antrim which provide some of the most awe-inspiring coastal scenery in Europe . The region is very rich in folklore, flora and fauna as well as having many sites of interest for the historian and geologist.

I have had the pleasure of being in his company at one of CANI paddlefest events in Bushmills,  he is a fantastic paddler with a fount of knowlage bursting to get out,  I have no hesitation in recommending him, and can guarantee you will have a quality time.
