Hey all,
I finally got a chance to head out and burn off that Christmas cheer. I was going to up Donnard from Bloody Bridge but after getting to the wall I decided against it, getting up would have been fine but getting down is when the tumbles happen. I got some great photos at the old quarry well worth a visit before we get our day of summer.

Great photos. No shame in turning back, the skill is knowing when to make that call. You made a good decision based on the conditions, no point putting yourself in danger and risk. Looks magically though but slippery and icy.

Some crackin photos mate and well done for getting out and I would second RT's comments on turning back ;D ;D ;)

I didn't want to clog up the post with pictures, but if anyone wants a look at the rest of the photos here is the album on Imgur :)

Excellent photos, The Mournes looks ethereal and other-worldly when its got a good dusting of ice and snow. Good on you for getting out and thanks for sharing the pics.

Thanks for sharing the photos. I didn't realise it was so snowy there until you posted them since the webcams seem to be offline at the moment. I went down on Saturday and had a great day out.

Fantastic, looks like a top day out if a little chilly :D Great start to the year too.

Hard not to look at the photo that looks like a staircase and think how bad it would be to slip at the top and smack your ass on every step on the way down. Lovely photos!
