Post by: boron on October 15, 2016
According to recent studies walking is the best exercise for us bipeds so here I go,last Thursday,Black mountain, Sat,Lagan towpath ( bumped into a guided wild food tour) Sun,Co Down coast,Tues, Cavehill, Thursday, long walk to sea trout fishing area (3 caught on fly, all safely returned) Long walk back with a bit of a forage on route. Phew! All good training for a wee jaunt in the Mourns .lol

Great stuff. Black Mountain and Cave Hill are great for exercise when you live in Belfast and can't be bothered driving to the Antrim Hills or Cave Hill. The standard Cave Hill loop from Belfast Castle is actually a really good workout - decent distance and ascent.

Hi Red,
Yea both are handy and you can vary the routes,I go clockwise and anti-clockwise from the car park on the Hightown road. Also the Black mountain is right behind my home.
