funnily enough i was think today that i must start entering some of these events, hope to do this one with my son, if not i'll be looking a team mate, C or D class for me.

I'm definitely interested - it was a great event last year despite the weather.

Due to my success, I'll be in B class this year  ;D
Probably needing a partner: Bic, have you done this before?

...haven,t entered an event before, though am a competent orienteerer/navigator, keen outdoor walker average/above average fitness.....though i lend my fitness more to hills and outdoors than gym and upper body...if that makes sense....

Cool - you'll definitely enjoy it, although I'll be looking to run everything 'not upwards' with a 5kg pack so perhaps our objectives are a little different.

If you don't plan to run a lot, perhaps C would be a better introduction?

I wasn't sure by your comment - you mentioned walking more but with the orienteering and that you might be a flyer!  but check out the times from the previous years on the site and you'll get an idea of what you might be comfortable with.

Probably wont be entering now for this year. Have 2 weekends in Sept booked off for travel, won't get another... but it is on every year.

I would have loved to have given the walk a go, but have a family wedding that weekend! Maybe we could organise a trip on here some weekend following the same route? Has anyone done the challenge walk before?

you are right MG, my bad ;D but I still have a wedding on the date of the MMM, not that I could run the length of myself! could walk all day but Im designed for comfort not speed :P lol
