Well my highest summit is a mere 850m (Slieve Donard) so that puts me in the dirty wee rascal category, so tell us your highest climbs and we'll see who's the king?

An update on my mountains height... I had forgotten about these ones. Sassongher 2670m and Piz Boè at 3152m. We were staying in Corvoara which was at 1568m and we did use cable cars to take us some of the way. It was a good holiday in the Dolimites...

Sassongher 2670m

Piz Boè 3152m

For me the highest point on foot was Dead Woman’s Pass (a climb of around 1500m from day 1 camp) – 4200m (on the Inca Trail). Plus I climbed a wee bit of the mountain to the side but only gained another 100 m or so. We were at a height of 4335 at one point via bus (on a separate part of the trip) and I know id trouble just walking about.

I might have to put some rules on this, like a minimum walking ascent of 500m, just to keep them lazy cable carring bus trippers in their place  ::)

maybe they should put a fence round the summit so the train goers can't go there, like they do in the cairngorms, but that would mean us walkers couldn't get to the restaurant for a pint, that would be bad  :(
