Title: Camping around Larne/Ballygally
Post by: Fuzzylogic on July 13, 2010
Hi all, first post, site looks top notch, should be very hand in the coming months  ;D

Anyways, few friends and I are thinking of heading off camping in the hills around the area for a few days and I was just wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of a decent out of the way place to pitch? The walking/hiking isnt a problem, we were thinking of a 2 nighter with a few miles each day.

The plan at the moment is to get dropped at the "carpark in the sky" or the wee carpark up Sallagh I think others might know it as.

Are there any spots we could pitch up un noticed and get a wee camp fire on the go or is that all grumpy farm land up there?

Thanks in advance. Fuzz!

We walked from Glenarm to Capanagh Wood on a Saturday evening a few months ago. We had a small fire (hobo stove) when we got there. I think if you're a good distance from the road/civilization you would be okay - just don't light a fire you can see from space :)
