Title: Slieve Binnian, February
Post by: phil_b on June 15, 2018
Long time, no see! I have been absent from here for a long time and trips out have been kind of scarce over the last couple of years.
I have managed a few trips into the Mournes this year and actually camped for the very first time last weekend on the summit of Slieve Bernagh.
I recently bought a tent, bag, mat stove etc and hope to get lots of use out of them over the coming months.
These few photos and video are from a sunrise hike to the summit of Slieve Binnian during the snow on the 3rd February this year. It was a tough climb in the dark with very strong winds and i didn't think sunrise was going to make a show but the clouds broke just at the right time.

I'm sure you had your doubts when climbing up in the dark and cloud.  What a result.  Lovely captures, thanks for sharing.
