Title: tullymore camping warning
Post by: robo on April 10, 2010
hi i was talking to my mate today who took his kids to tullymore on friday to camp for the weekend and they where up all night because of a crowd singing and drinking and when he asked them to keep the noise down it didnt work and he had to leave the next morning because his two lads couldnt do anything for being up all night.
Im not saying its like that all the time but when you go to a family camp and there is no one there to look after things and keep it fair for everyone else then i would suggest you dont bring your kids there as wheres the fun in that.
thankfully he did get his money back but the weekend was ruined for the two kids so just make sure you get a little info on where you go as it might turn out to be a nightmare.

That's a shame.  I always have fond memories of camping at Tullymore when I was a kid.

There are different areas for camping in Tullymore - I thought they always put the noisier folk out of the way.

Unfortunately this sort of shit happens on public site's and it only takes a couple of ass-hole's to ruin it for everybody. I just hope it hasn't put your mate of camping as there is better site's that are better policed.
Davy.

Same here, I had some of my best holidays camping there.

However, I have friends who took their kids camping there last summer and had exactly the same bad experience that seems to be happening there lately.  They packed up and went home the next day.  It's a real shame as Tollymore is probably still my favourite forest park.

That was George, he must be gone at least five years now.  Can't say I was sorry to see him go either, he kind of took things to the opposite extreme.  I'm 40 BTW and long past the stage where I want to party all night, and was well before he left. Still had a few "words" with him over the years.
