The Mora is probably the best value for money Bushcraft knife you can buy. It's a top choice.

Just out of interst mate, and not to seem cheeky what got you into the outdoors and is there a reason why your starting with such a big piece of it? hopefully this doesn't sound arogant as I'm very glad your getting out there and living the dream, wish I had the nads!

Chris 8764, A lot of things have happen the last year to make me think how im wasting my life away. Society is a place of falseness, i want to see the real life and the true beauty it has to show, not the falseness all around me. I use to live in holland when i was 19 till i was 22, i had to live on my wits alot of the time, i felt alive. I want that feeling back again the feeling society numbs on me. I dont mean to sound like i hate society, it just bores me now and a need to relight a spark in me. What better way to do it than hit the coast and feel the wind on my face feel what its like to be lean again and see beauty at its realest. I also lived in london before xmaz past there for 7 mouths and i hope ireland never sees the mass builded up busy fast food no time for any thing or any body life, only time for work and material life, not even a home bakery !!!

excelent mate. Its refreshing to see more people thinking like that these days, not everyone is caught up in the rat race as we would be lead to believe! You've def put the seeds in my mind for something epic, I was looking at walking the ulster way at one stage might start planning again!

We know life only phenomenally, as a person goes to church knows intuition, we know nothing of the nature of intrinsic. Or material world is trying to obscure your soul to the point of no return, liberate or selfs from the chains, that spread material things and revelations, on a bended knee is no way to be free. Faith is blind drybag.

I got the high carbon because you can use it with a firesteel. However I think the stainless steel one keeps an edge better.

My knowledge is limited, but I think the stainless steel one won't rust, but it'll be harder to sharpen.
The carbon one will sharpen easier but won't hold its edge as well, and you can use the carbon one with a firesteel.

I could have got that all wrong, so if there's an expert nearby, feel free to jump in.

Cheers, you can never have the best of both worlds, fire steel and a good edge ;-)

Im looking for a kinfe no bigger than 215 mm and the mora seems to be the best one, there is also FALLKNIVEN, NL5 IDUN KNIFE or F1blz FALLKNIVEN KNIFE or  HUNT AND FISHING KNIFE F1 can any of these knives give you easy sharpen, keep good edge, and use on firesteel ???
