Glenariff Sunday 26th June
« on: June 20, 2011 »

All
I am planning to do a bit of a dander up Glenariff to test the route for the first part of the Moyle Way in August
Here is what I am planning to do http://www.walkjogrun.net/routes/current_route.cfm?rid=ACB8CE32-0112-7B35-03EDE7F7B0919F13&success=1 Around 12 Miles, 1000 foot ascent/descent starting around 9:30 in Glenarriff. If anyone fancies it, drop me a reply/mail

Wee bit more road walking than I'm used to but very tempted to join you if I may?

I'm itching to find routes up onto the slopes of Crockalough (should be a cracker bivvy spot catching the sun in the morning), so walking around the sucker could be a good recce  :)

Chuck
No problem at all, bit more roads that I am used to as well, but I hate doing linear walks that double back on themselves ;)
I suppose we could do Trostan and retrace back on ourselves to keep the "off road" feel?

All things and SWMBO being equal we will be meeting at the bridge at the start at around 9:30 ish

Steve

PS I am an old fart who has had to many motorcycle accidents (the most recent last sept) and I don't walk too fast

Still up for this Steve, will drop you PM. Wife's talking about dropping me off and heading up the coast for the day, if we end up running late I'll meet you along the trail somewhere.
