Food for free pocket book  is a great companian to all foragers , campers or people interested about learning about local edible plants.

I bought "Food for Free" recently too, and I'm really looking forward to my first banquet created from it.  Four other books that I've recently found are the River Cottage Handbooks.  I haven't bought them yet, but they are on my wish list.  Not only do they help you identify the nibbles but it looks like they provide recipe ideas too.  The Edible Seashore Handbook is the one that appeals to me most. I love Seafood me  ;D

While were on the subject of recommending good books, here's another favourite of mine:

Sorry about the size of this image.  Couldn't find a smaller one and was too lazy to shrink it.  :-[

This Ray Mears book is very easy to read and full of very useful/practical information.  It contains some great pictures and diagrams too.  Some survival books that I've read contain line drawings which are very difficult to understand.

I was very disappointed with this one  :(

Happy reading  8)

Don't forget this one.
Mors Kochanski was the origional person who coined the phrase "Bushcraft" and was an inspiration to the likes of Ray Mears as well as countless others.

All great book there, apart from grow your own drugs, i thought it was pretty crap myself. I have taken to buying wild flower books you wont normally get what the plants are used for but they are a great resource for id purposes. I have all the books mentioned above the john wright books  are first class.
