I think your thinking of the mourne way marathon the MMM is in september.

you are right MG, my bad ;D but I still have a wedding on the date of the MMM, not that I could run the length of myself! could walk all day but Im designed for comfort not speed :P lol
You can get the map ref points off there website and give a course a go. Do it at your own pace. We did d class last year, great route but the weather was horrible.

good old mourne weather, nothing like it!  ;) I like the sound of doing the course anyway to try it, maybe by next year I will be fit enough to give it a proper go!   ::)

I think me and 666_pack are doing it!

You might be better trying last years one. They changed the guy who plots the course from 09. He seems to use more of the Mournes. The last guy consentrated on one area.

Last year we started at Silent valley and camped on the far side Hen.

Nice one - that'll be a good adventure for him... adventuresome, but doable!

only 1 more day to enter, get in there, you know you want to  ;D

i've spent the evening looking at old class D routes, wee buns, although plotting maps gets tricky after a few beers, hic, burp,  ::)

this year its starting from Attical so it will probably be over the western mournes which i haven't really done before so it will be great to do some new routes

a wee silly question for the MMM veterans here, do you actually have to run some of the course to meet the cut off times? i was counting on walking the whole lot

You should be dead on liam with a fast walk. There was only once when were close to not making a cut off, but there was about 30 other teams charging for the checkpoint. I think it was a slight mistake on there part.
