The 2009 Northern Ireland HACK (Hike Against Cruelty to Kids) is a 14 mile hike which takes place on Saturday 5 September in the stunning peaks of Binevenagh Mountain, the focal point within the Binevenagh Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
The route begins at Benone Beach, overlooked by Bishop Hervey’s Mussenden Temple. The path moves on to the expanse of beach at Magilligan strand, climbing to the Bishop’s Road, on to Downhill Forest and the National Trust’s Downhill Demesne. The entire route is within the Binevenagh Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
The 14 mile hike is open to walkers of all fitness levels and stewards will be around the route to help.
