Title: Great book for the kids
Post by: Al Fresco on December 31, 2011
I was in Bargain books yesterday or The Works as it is now known, and picked up a book for my girls to teach them some outdoor skills and give them a better understanding of Outdoors living. I have read it and think its brilliant, lots of stuff from canoe and kayak skills, lighting campfires, making shelters and camping, map reading, knots, tracking, survival, weather, kit, cooking, and loads more. Its the complete guide to scouting skills and cost £5.99.
My 8 year old has taken it and is absorbed in it, reminds me of when i was about 10 and I got lofty wisemans sas survival skills handbook I couldn't wait to build traps and shelters etc. lol.
