Title: Hands up who has water transport of some sort
Post by: RedLeader on August 20, 2009
Post if you have some sort of water transport so we can work out how many people can make trips. Any sort of boat capable of carrying you and enough gear for a weekend in variable weather on salt or fresh water will do. Also mention if you have access to anything that others could use either to borrow or hire.

I have a Charles River Canadian open canoe.

Well actually I do live on an Island  ;)

But the reason for all the watercraft is my boys want to paddle themselves and not sit in the same canoe as mum and dad, and the snipe was picked up from freecycle for nowt.  8)

I have an RTM Ysak, sea kayak and a loan of a wee river runner which I use for surfing.

Does anyone know anyone who could re-skin/ re-tar a curragh?

There is one lying over on the island that was built for them in 2006.  It isnt used any more as it needs re-waterproofed.  its a real shame
