NIBA meet on Sunday 15th november 2009
« on: September 28, 2009 »

The NIBA will be having a day meet on Sunday 15th November 2009. We are very much into theme days, so if everyone who would like to meet up posts at least 3 things they would like to look at eg, shelter, fire ,wild food etc we will take the most popular and that will be the theme for the day. I hope to meet you all soon.
( We will be running as many events as we can in the coming year so if you miss this one dont worry there will be others. Only events posted by myself or gary, Celt Ginger are organised NIBA events)

Regards

Paul

Yes, it will be family friendly, but please remember, there will probably be knives, axes etc around and there will probably be a fire. We would expect each parent to be responsible for their own children's safety.

All sounds great,
I would fancy learning lots more but if you push me on 3 things i would say pit oven, cooking with wild foods, uses of different woods.

Thanks,
Brian

Folks,

Please if you are interested in attending the NIBA meet on 15th November can you email us, i know some of you have expressed your interest in attending here on NI Wild, and some have done both. We will be sending out emails in relation to the meet with details of place times etc if you have not sent us an email or completed the comments page on our website you will not receive this email even if you have expressed an interest on NI Wild. This is to save us having to trawl round websites and it gives us a good contacts list for future meets and events. I have to say a big thanks to Jonno and the NI Wild team that they allow us to advertise these meets on his site!

Just like to say many thanks to the guys of the NIBA for what was a great and enjoyable day, not just the bushcraft aspect of the day but finally being able to put faces to names. My knowledge base has def been updated today. Cant wait till the next meet and in the meantime i will put this new gained knowledge into practice over the next few weeks. Heres a pic of an A framed shelter we built nearing completion
