Sorry for all you chaps that can't make it, hopefully there'll be a few more Bullseye Bivvies this year, we'll catch you then.

Dowser is considering coming over from Annalong way, I'm coming from Meelmore Lodge up Hares Gap and along the Brandy Pad. We can't leave before about 230ish so it will probably be getting dark by the time we arrive.

Seems the best plan is for whoever gets there first pick a good site suitable for 8+ including a tent or two and then keep an eye out for others arriving. If people want to PM me their mobile numbers we can keep in touch.

Ok, I think we have our plans finalised.

Me, Fred and Rumblebum are going to head up via Donard Wood, the Black Stairs and Donard summit then drop down to the site.  Hopefully leaving Donard Park around 5pm.

The usual story in the morning, we'll break camp fairly early and hope to go up and over Donard again, dropping down on to Millstone Mountain and back via Drinneevar or the Granite Trail.

Looking forward to it peeps, see y'all on Saturday  :)

Final plans!
Matt, Stepstew and I will be coming over from Meelmore Lodge via the Brandy Pad leaving at 230pm-ish. I think Clairebear is also coming that way but I don't know what time. Dowser is coming from Spences River, Rumblebum and Whorya are coming up the Black Stairs and Fred is dropping out of the sky wearing a Red Bill Wingsuit.
  • Just to reiterate, whoever gets there first pick a spot suitable for 8+ including a couple of tents. Fred suggested that about 100m below the actual dart spot was some decent flat ground. Whoever picks the site just keep en eye for everyone else, crack a glowstick or keep a torch on when it's dark.
  • Dowser and I will both have walkie talkies on channel 6.
  • We don't want to be plundering around Donard in the middle of the night so if you want us to come look for you if you don't turn up then you need to have texted me with a route when you're actually leaving the car. (PM me for the number), otherwise I'll assume you remembered Strictly Come Dancing was on and stayed at home. Even then we can't guarantee reception so.........
  • It's going to be proper cold and probably wet, come well prepared and with proper safety gear.
  • If you don't bring a firelog Dowser will make you stand 15 feet back from the fire at all times ;)
  • Read, remember and agree to the Safety and Responsibility Notice.
This is the location:
