Safety and Responsibility Notice
The Bullseye Bivvy is a going to be a difficult trip in which the fickle finger of fate has placed us at 645m on the slopes of Donard. With the recent weather it is likely to be cold and/or wet and/or snowy. If you want to go please be sure you appreciate the potential risks and are very well prepared for all eventualities and understand that you are entirely responsible for yourself.

As ever, everyone going has to read, understand and adhere to the safety and responsibility notice.

Hmm, interesting.  What does that mean then?  Do we go up a bit or down a bit from the dart?  I'd go with this  ;D

We normally aim to set up camp within about 200 yards of the Magical Dart of Destiny  :o

Eagle Rocks?

We can get ourselves up to where the Dart has landed and pick a spot when we get there. There's a set of hatchers at J 355 282 which may provide a bit of shelter at the base of them.  It's all part of the fun of the Bullseye Bivvy... You sleep were your told, not where you want lol.

It's a good job I'm not married lol. Wouldn't want to be doing the Bullseye Bivvy every week...  My floor would look like it's got woodworm  ::)

Sorry about the last post... Couldn't resist lol

Here's the serious answer... I'm still tempted to bring the bike. I just lock my helmet to the bike and I don't wear leathers so it doesn't cause an issue for me.

With regards to the fire log we usually ask that everybody brings one if they can.  It's not compulsory but anybody that doesn't bring one has to stand 15 yards away with their back to the fire  :D

Bivvying in the middle of nowhere, where there is no fuel for the fire, can be miserable without a decent fire as a focal point. If there's a load of us going, even half a fire log each would be ample but just squeeze in what you can everybody.
