You were close, Fred was carrying the overspill on this trip.

Great stuff guys, looks like another top night. It's still on my list to camp the sevens. I've been on them all at some stage but only camped on Commedagh, Meelmore, Bearnagh and Binnian. Still Meelbeg, Lamagan and Donard to go.

Gutted that I missed this.
I bivvied on lamagan with Oisin and Rusty once and it was a great night out. We headed up via the slabs and it was hairy in places!

Unfortunately as I was put on call last weekend I had to be within 1hr 30 mins of an internet connected PC. I tried to console myself by bivvying up cavehill with Oisin and Dave (yak)

It never properly got dark, but we had an good night.

Definitely seeing you guys at the halloween camp come hell or high water!

Welcome to team bivvy

What do you mean never properly got dark?  Moon?  Light pollution?  It's nice to get a camp in without going too far.  I'm sure it was better than the one Ronald Turnbull describes in the "Book of the Bivvy", I think it was in a thorn bush in Woodvale Park or somewhere like that!

Light pollution bouncing off the clouds.
The entire hill was lit up, you didnt need a torch.
Better than being at home in bed though
