Title: Walking the North Down Coastal Path

I walked the North Down Coastal Path yesterday. Is 14.6 miles from Holywood to a layby between Groomsport and Donaghadee and forms part of the Ulster Way. Another 3 miles after that gets you to Donaghadee for chips (or a refreshing beer). It's an excellent walk (on the flat!) with a decent path most of the way. I'll post some piccies when I get some feeling back in my feet - 17.5 miles was harder than I was expecting!

Looks a good walk man. I worked along it for a while there a few months back seen loads of people going along it and like clockwork every morning, at 8am, an old guy about 70 going round it in a sea kayak. Might have to give it a go soon

No need for a map or sense of direction, just keep the sea on you left (or right depending on direction)  :)
If you want maps though, head over to the Walk NI website and then to the Ulster Way section, you can pick up maps of the route there for free.
Its a nice wee walk alright, you can keep on going until Milisle before you have to start road walking, with no pavement.

Unfortunately I'm working next Saturday otherwise I would have joined you. I did the walk from Groomsport to Holywood today and it was enjoyable. Even the sand was frozen.
