Title: dream Routes
Post by: 666_pack on September 25, 2009
Just wanted to start a thread about the big trips that spur us on. The one day adventures.

Mine has to be the Aonoch Eagach Ridge

Have a look at this trip report.

Mine has to be Ben Nevis in winter via the CMD (Carn Mor Dearg) arete, the route looks amazing and im already planning with NeilB at the min to try the ascent sometime in the next 12-18 months and pref start/end of winter... think it would be too risky in the dead of winter with our current experience on winter hiking/camping. Thinking of doing a trial of Errigal with snow/bad weather this winter to acclimatise to the situations faced and gain more experience on extreme survival. Heres the route from the munro website anyways...

there are so many great hills in the fort william/glencoe area. I think this looks like the first NI-wild expedition.
Me and MG1 were just talking about this. If there is enough interest we should hire a minibus and hit the highland.

Currently in the planning is a Bushcraft trip to the Yukon. Dream trips for me would be some time spent with the Sammi in the Artic circle and possible a Jungle trip.
