Think its time to start looking forward to our first winter camp. No dates in mind yet but would like to give plenty
of notice so all can get a chance to attend(work/family/other commitments).
What do you think?

I fancy another weekend in Donard Wood with a roaring fire! Count me in. (But no suprises this time!) Plus I'd like to give the hammock another go.
We should have our Stove-Off and compare our cooking appliances.

whats the point in havin a tent in a forest? you get shelter from the trees and warmth from the fire.

Im a newbe as they say, so i need to be kept right on all this, but now i need to buy a bivvy. ;D
Soon ill have my own mountain in gear like all you, :D
-
i wouldn't recomend you run out and buy a bivvy mate, its def an "aquired taste" as im sure most on here will confirm! Bivies are a whole other world of camping, prob best if you just get used to a tent etc 1st!
