Hi i have quite a few bushcraft books, im not saying one is better than the other but i would say for detail for me has to be ray mears or richard jameison ( woodsmoke) i find the lofty wiseman book to be ok though a lot of what it says i find to be wrong when it comes to practice. Dont expect to get one book and find out all you need you can pick up different things from different books. Hope this helps.

"Northern Bushcraft" by Mors Kochanski is a super book, as is "Essential Bushcraft" by Ray Mears, but there are lots of books out there that also have god info, including Lofty Wiseman's. Once you get one, you will want lots of others as well.

I'd have to say Ray Mears 'Essential Bushcraft' is the one to go for as you're getting what it says on the tin - bushcraft, whereas Lofty Wiseman is teaching survival which isn't always the same thing
