Meindl burma pro boots (gortex)
« on: November 07, 2011 »

sorry for the cheeky second post but ive decided to let a pair burma pro boots go, they are 8.5 and as new, bought them and a pair of 8 last year, thought id use the 8 in the summer and the 8.5 in the winter with thicker socks, wore the 8.5 for one lap of gosford forest pak and they just feel to big on me around the toe area compaired to anything ive had on before, they are honestly as new (it was even dry the day i was out)

can be viewed without commitment before buying, you honestly will not be dissapointed

they cost me £175 ill take £100 collected

cheers anthony, just pm me if intrested

ad as said before, sorry for my second thread being a sale one but just wanted someone from good old NI to benifit before popping them on ebay!

Well i gave them a baptism of fire (well more like water) tonight on meelbeg in awful weather and they performed admirably, i see what you mean about them feeling loose around the toe but my feet didn't seem to slide in the on the VERY STEEP descent we did, the heel grip system must work well. And what really amazed me was how dry my feet where, after 3 miles in VERY WET weather, lots of walking in streams, my feet were almost bone dry afterwards, only the slightest bit of sweat was evident, the Meindl insoles do a great job of wicking the dampness away. The only downside i found was a lack of grip on the toe when going up steep hills, although it was so slippery i'm not sure any boot could have gripped. However on the downhill it held very well, we had to zigzag down due to the slope, it was one of those "if i slip i'll keep sliding" hills :o  the ankle support was superb, i just walked in a straight line through anything and it felt so solid, so thanks again anthony, i'm very very pleased with them  :)
