Hi Spud,

What an adventure you have got planned... and I've so many questions to ask so here goes lol:

Are you starting from Brow Head (near Mizen Head) and walking to Banba's Crown (near Malin Head)?

What accommodation are you planning... Camping, Youth Hostels, Guest Houses etc or a mix of all three?

Are you carrying everything you need and just buying supplies and perishables as you go along?

When are you starting and how long do you reckon it's gonna take?

Think that's enough questions for you for now.  I'm looking forward to following your progress and I'll get a donation made soon.

Hi Dowser, I am starting my walk at Dursey Island in Cork, then following The Beara Breifne Way, http://www.heritagecouncil.ie/fileadmin/user_upload/Education/Beara_Breifne_Way_Map2012_OVERALL__1_.pdf
This finishes in Blacklion in Cavan, then I will continue on. I am finishing the walk at the most northerly point at Malin Head.  I looked into starting at Mizen head, but I think this route is a lot more interesting and unique, and is actually about 100km LONGER  :o
Accommodation will be camping as much as possible (hoping for good weather  ;D) plus the odd night in a hostel (or the odd pub  ;D) gonna carry the bare essentials and stock up on food etc along the way, as the route takes me through plenty of towns etc.
I start on 23rd May, and I'm aiming to take about 28 days to complete it.

I used to drive to cork every week and that was a pain in the ass. Couldn't contemplate walking it!

Camping as much as possible :o  As if the trek itself isn't challenging enough!!! Much respect dude  8)

As I said, I'm really looking forward to following your progress in May.

Mind yourself on that cable car, if it hasn't fallen into the sea by now!

All the best mate, my wife's from that area and it is stunning, but I tell her the Mournes are still way better.  :)

Well done so far Spud, great to be able to follow you on the facebook page, and I see you've almost raised £1000 so far, excellent (still a long way off his target everyone so keep the money coming in to encourage him, I think I'll throw another tenner in myself  ;) )
