Here is the reason I have asked you all to tell me you favorite item of gear. I have found a game on another website and have adopted it so we can have it on NI-Wild. Please read the rules and have fun.

Each item of gear starts with 10 points. The object of the game is to eliminate all but one of the items by bringing their point count to zero. The last character standing is the winner!

The deets:
•   In your post, add one point to one of the items and remove a point from one of the others. Indicate what points you added like so:

- (insert name here)
•   Update the main list. Copy and paste it into your post, and change the item’s point value accordingly. Also, sort the items numerically based on points, in descending order.
•   If an item’s point level reaches zero, that item is eliminated. Add the item name to the graveyard (below the main list).

Rules:
• You can only post your choices once every 20 minutes.

o If plays occur before this wait time has elapsed, the post must either be edited to show the correct time using the edit line or reposted to count. Failure to do either will result in the play being discarded if noticed before or during the next Checkpoint.
o In order to ensure proper plays are being made, a TimeCheck will also be administered at the same time as a Checkpoint. A TimeCheck is a look at all the posts on the previous page, ensuring that people waited at least 20 minutes between plays. Once a TimeCheck is called by someone, all plays on the previous page are considered valid. Someone else can not come along and change that ruling...because of this, I beg of you, do not write TimeCheck and/or Checkpoint unless you actually checked both/understand how they work.

• The graveyard has to be posted when someone's eliminated.
o Graveyard should always be present in the same post as the Time Checkpoint.

• A "Checkpoint" has to be added at the start of a new page.

o The numbers should always add up to the number of characters * 10 (160 this round).
o When you have corrected possible mistakes, then add a "Checkpoint" in the end of the post.
o If you do correct mistakes to make it a Checkpoint, you need to state how many points you added/subtracted, from whom the points were added/subtracted, and if at all possible where it came from (i.e. which post you found the error in).
o If unable to find error for some reason (i.e. don’t have time), state that it is a Checkpoint fail so that someone can hopefully fix it in a timely manner.

• Keep items in descending numerical order (reorder if necessary)
• Please remember to look up at the previous post, or two, after posting your turn to make sure you didn't skip someone's turn.


These rules are here to try and keep the game clean and fun. I know it looks like there are a lot of rules, but these rules are not too bad once you get to playing.

At the end of each round, there will be a discussion so that people can discuss rules as well as the items on the list. This will be explained in greater detail at the end of the first round.

If it seems confusing, no worries, I'll share an example as the first turn below.
