A series of workshops will give participants a taste of many aspect of hillwalking. Workshop titles may include:
- Measuring distance, pacing and timing
- Taking bearings
- Equipment for hillwalkers
- Basic map interpretation
- Planning for Scottish winter walking
- Climbing Wall session
- Dealing with simple emergencies
- Governing body awards
- Emergency ropework for climbers
