A hearty hello to all!
« on: April 10, 2014 »

Hello 2 all!!

I am a Belfast based creature with a love for hiking/wild camping.    Currently in my late 30's.

I have wandered around the hills of the Mournes, Antrim & Donegal on occasion & also have been on recent expeditions to the Himalayas (N. India), Tanzania (E. Africa) including a 5 day dander up to the summit of Kilimanjaro .

The jungles of Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia are on the agenda for this Summer and then hopefully Machu Picchu in 2 years time.

In my 20's I worked as an outdoor instructor within Northern Ireland.

In the last year I have managed to recruit a group of city folk to try this hillwalking malarkey and a few of them  have taken to it like a dog to a bone (albeit a few will never be going hillwalking ever, ever again. lol)

It was one of the enthusiastic ones who recommended this site to me to which I am thankful (which is very good BTW).

I look forward to being part of the ni-wild community.
