Hammock Wild Camp in Annalong Wood. I lovely midge free night.

Looks like a great wee camp lads, nice set up with the tarps as well.
Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Rumblebum. It took a bit of time setting up as the first hammock camp but we got there in the end. Thanks

Looks lovely. I've not had the hammock out in quite a while. Were there no midges at all or were you just protected by the mesh net? They're usually wild this time of year.

Thanks Redleader. We were surprised there was no midges at all. I've had to leave the wood before and camp further up in the past. I thought it was going to be midge fest and was surprised. There was a breeze as you will see blowing tarps etc. maybe that helped. It was the first time in a hammock and I was surprised I slept no problem too. Thanks.

Great video, gets me in the notion to dust of my hammock and get my fat lazy ass out into the fresh air,

Wow? Kind of jealous to be honest have never done a hammock camp! Been wild camping over England and Scotland years ago have hardly been out at all in Northern Ireland/Ireland.

It was my first hammock camp as I am usually a tent dweller!! Annalong wood as good trees for the hammocks, we were meant to go back last Saturday night and repeat but the trip fell apart a few days before as others were too busy. Thanks
