Title: tarps and stuff

how many of you use a tarp/poncho hammock setup if so is it any good.iv used a poncho bivvi bag etc but the hammock part is new to me.is it any good ?

I use dd hammocks. The stuff is good and doesn't cost the earth. Their customer service is top notch as well.

dd hamock is the best value for money,i have one and a hennessey delux also.

both comfortable enough but hennessey id at least twice the price and i dont think its worth it.

get a big enough tarp though.

also,a fly net is also recommended.

I use a 3x3 dd tarp when I am out it is big enough to set up in a basic tent shape and I will have plenty of room underneath to do the jobs I need if I to do something in a sheltered enviroment.

Another vote for DD Hammocks for both the tarp and hammock.
