This is a unique event that challenges those taking part to have a team on the top of each of 221 Scottish Corbetts (peaks between 2500ft and 3000ft) as well as all 89 peaks in England and Wales and two in Northern Ireland.

Corbetts are mountains between 2,500’ and 3,000’ and whilst they are not the highest mountains in the UK, they include many of the UK’s favourite walks. From Ben Loyal in Northern Scotland to the Brecon Beacons in South Wales, the list of 312 mountains includes such favourites as Foinaven and The Cobbler in Scotland, Cadair Idris in Snowdonia and many of the favourite peaks in the Lake District.

They are more evenly spaced across the country than some previous challenges so wherever you live there should be one near you. The Challenge is to get a team of walkers on the top of all 312 Corbetts between 11.00am and 3.00pm on Saturday 11th June.

An innovation for this year is that we have linked some mountains in Scotland and Wales. So, if you are looking for a more challenging walk, you can select one of our combinations of 2,3 and even 4 mountains and commit to climbing them all on the day. The combinations available are clearly marked on the website. To make this more practical we have extended the window that you need to get to the top of your chosen mountain or mountains to 11.00 am to 3.00 pm.

Given that all these mountains are great walks, the challenge is sure to be extremely popular. We need to limit the total number of teams on each mountain so that we don’t overload the local environment, so make sure you reserve your place as soon as possible. To take part, you need a team of between 4 and 7 people, who should all be over 18 and willing to raise at least £100 of sponsorship each. The registration process should only take a few minutes, but make sure that you have all the details you need for you and your team before you start.
