Do I remember reading somewhere that Slieve Binnian has some sort of old stone shacks or similar somewhere over the wall as you come up from Carrick Little?
Does anyone have a grid ref or info?

I think whoRya mentioned them in a post involving a binnian summit camp earlier in the year. I could be wrong but I think it was him. ???

'twas me :)
Head up the Carrick Little track to the style, then follow the wall on your left upwards to the NW for about 1.4k until you reach the wall junction at 331 233. If you hop over the wall and head south you'll see a whole network of paths. There are tons of little quarry shelters around there, some would work for a bivvy and others have too much rubble in them.

no 'twas i, off to search for some evidence ;D

The difference Landy is that I don't get out enough so I remember them all intimately, you on the other hand are just living the dream - all those days in the hill just merge into each other 8) That is a useful screenshot.

Brilliant guys, exactly what I was looking for. A Grid ref and pics. Actually, now do I really need to even go :P

Maybe a wee detour on way home after Halloween Camp?

Epic idea. Think I might actually take a rattle at it this Saturday morning if anyone fancies.
