Title: amok hammock
Post by: torp on March 22, 2017
Now on sale at Cotswold

Only down side I found using this on Rams Island was the tarp is just enough to cover the hammock and leaves little room for other needs such as cooking, or changing clothes etc.  That said I think the tarp would be ideal to use just as a bivy with no hammock laying on the ground with just a mat and sleeping bag.

The hammock itself I found to be very comfortable and stable and with the Exped mat and 2 season bag (which I only threw over me) to be also nice and warm.

Setting up was straight forward with all straps and carabiners attached already and both the hammock and tarp stuff bags stitched to the said items means you never loose them.

Final thoughts on this item are;
fantastic bit of kit,
ease of use & simplicity,
sleeping on face,back or side,
turning over the hammock is very stable,
but the price is too high @ £300.
