Multi-Day trips
« on: March 24, 2013 »

Has anyone got experience of wild camping for 2 or 3 days, or maybe even more?

What extra considerations must you have (food, toileting, clothes etc) and how did you deal with these/ the extra weight?

Twentyclicks is over doing the West Highland Way at the moment. It will be interesting to hear how that goes.

Sorting the men from the boys now!

The idea doesn't bother me, it's the having to carry any toilet paper (leave no trace and all that), unless there is some kind of biodegradable option? (Leaves aren't all that appealing).

I'm also a one night wonder. I'm not organised enough to do multiday trips. Plus in the cooler months everything always seems damp in after the first night, I often wonder how I would cope on night two.

Another issue would be food. My 60(+10) litre pack was STUFFED on my last 1 nighter. I don't know where I'd find the room for food for a few days.

Though my goal this year is to do the mournes 7 seven challenge over 3 days, so I better find a solution!

You'd be surprised how much weight you can shed when you put your mind to it.

Did you click on the link to the Scottish Mountaineering Council pdf regarding the matter?

I near spat my tea out wondering if the first pic is a walker smelling his own sh*t or taking a drink lol.
