I use Garmin blue chart and garmin street maps

The blue chart#s are marine charts . but they do have a bit of topographical info on them

I purchased the blue charts with the plotter for my boat

Andy

I have the street maps on mine but the marine ones are prob a bit expensive for me.

You would need to check if your GPS is blue chart compatible ....

"because there are no topo ones for NI."

I thought there were (http://www.smc.org.uk/ContourMaps.php) with a little bit of instructions here (http://www.geocachingireland.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=44&Itemid=48).  I've downloaded them and used them on my computer and not on my gps as my gps is very basic :(
