Title: Gaints cause way
Post by: Wolf_Larson on August 10, 2009: I walked the path that has been closed for 15 years down at the gaints cause way. One thing i could not work out by the time i got to the end of it, how did the sheep get there. theres no way they can get out the way i climbed out and im sure they dont climb the fence from the other end. Does anyone know ??

Post by: Wolf_Larson on August 10, 2009: If you walk round by the red rocks you will come to a fence where you cant go anymore there is a sign that looks like a rock saying why it has been closed for 15 year, jump over the fence and follow the track till you come to the end it talks hour an half i think, there is a wee climb at the last bit but it is the best walk ive ever done. you will come out near derveck castle then you can walk along the top of the cliffs back to the cause way. WHAT EVER YOU DO DONT DO IT ON A DAY WHEN THE WIND IS STONG VERY DANGEROUS !!!

Post by: RedLeader on August 11, 2009: I've not been up that way in years. Is a shame, it's a lovely end of the country and the causeway is fascinating.

some of you may have seen the poweraid advert where they are finishing the mourne way marathon, this event is run by the same people and should be a big success..............there is a full marathon route, half, and 10k run or challange walk..........!
