Title: Itchy feet - Doan Quick Overnighter

Hi guys,
I was planning to head into the mournes this friday after work (leavin Portadown about 5-6pm).
Anyone fancy an overnighter/bivvi somewhere? I have no real agenda just wanna night in the hills.
So if anyone wants to knock off a summit camp give me a shout.

Wonder what the weather forecast is.......

I'll try to get organised for this, will let u know.

I wouldn't mind doing Doan....but not fussed which either.....

Me and 666 are confirmed to go for a bivy on Doan tomorrow night (middle of the Mournes).

We're meeting at Melmoore Lodge around 7.  This is a open invite to anyone who wants to join us.

We're gonna for a bit of a dander around in the morning, nothing too strenuous tho.

Maybe someone can pin this as a calendar event as I dont know how to do that.

Doan is one of the last of the inners that I haven't made it up yet- can't make tonight though. Enjoy and take a few piccies so I can be jealous :)

all went well with this. I think MikeD has some pics.

There is more space on the summit of doan than I remembered as you coluld fit all a hell of a lot of tents up there.
