G.P.S trouble

Anybody help me out with some advice about my Garmin Camo etrex,G.P.S.When i switch it on it just display's ( wait tracking satilletes ) i have the data lead but can't get my MAC to find the device,i've downloaded the latest Bootcamp but again this is no help.I have not dropped it,or damaged it?

Take out the batteries (and memory card) and leave it for 30 mins. Do a hard reset if that doesn't work.

sorted it out,it. kept asking me had i moved more that 500 miles since i last used it,too which i kept chossing no,this time i chose yes,then it reset itself, ;D

GPS units keep data stored from the satellites that are in your vicinity to save having to download every time, the reason it asks is incase it needs to refresh its info from a new set of satellites if you've travelled significantly since it was last switched on. Sounds like yours was just corrupt and needed refreshed.
