Is it this Saturday? Is going to be a toasty one, I'd rather have it cool and damp! Not that I'm actually doing it ofc :)

Yeah. Not ideal weather for the ultra runners either!

I walked the mourne way from Newcastle to Rostrevor today, I wouldn't fancy having to run it in that weather! Roasting!!

Here's a few pics

I was hoping to get a last minute entry in for the 10k but my weak ankle is playing up lately so not paying big entry fee for a long walk home  ;D  Instead I'll be down at the finish manning the Mountain Rescue stall, come and say hello, and bring cash as i'll be selling stuff  ;)

Brilliant days craic yesterday at the mourne way 10km event, fair play to the ultra runners and marathon people.  The heat was something else, brilliant day and well organised.  Here's a pic of me with my yazoo which was in my race pack, it wasn't drank btw!  Warm milk in sunshine.......na

A pedantic note on the word "craic". Crack meaning chat, fun or banter is not an Irish Gaelic word. There is no need to spell it "craic" when writing in English!

Apologies for this but when I saw "craicing" at the start of the thread then "craic" further down I couldn't help myself. I really hope this is the last time I see the word "craicing" in print! People do of course spell in all sorts of weird ways these days so sadly (for me!) I probably will.

If anybody is at all interested see the link below noting the History and Criticism sections especially,

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Craic

Apologies again for derailing this thread. Congratulations to all who did the run.
